The advantages of mouse hybridoma monoclonal antibody include: high affinity, high specificity, mature antibody discovery strategy and easy post modification. Compare to phage display, hybridoma technology is cost-effective for harvesting 1 – 20 clones. It is thus widely used in early stage research and/or in some projects that does not require further antibody engineering.
